Our mission

The Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer (QCGC) Research, we are driven by a singular mission: to improve the lives of women affected by gynaecological cancers through world-class clinical research. Based at The University of Queensland, our team leads pioneering studies that challenge outdated practices, fill critical gaps in knowledge, and set new standards of care globally.

Over the past two decades, QCGC Research has evolved from a small startup into an internationally recognised research centre. Our work has revolutionised treatment approaches for endometrial, cervical, ovarian, and vulval cancers—saving lives and enhancing quality of life for thousands of women worldwide.

Our success is powered by a passionate team of clinicians, researchers, and consumer advocates, and supported by a vibrant community of donors, volunteers, and collaborators. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in gynaecological cancer care.

Join us in shaping the future of women’s cancer treatment.

Advancing Ovarian Cancer Research

Detecting earlier. Treating smarter. Saving lives.

Ovarian cancer remains one of the most challenging gynaecological cancers to diagnose and treat, often referred to as the “silent killer” due to its vague symptoms and lack of effective early screening. At University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research, researchers are leading transformative efforts to change this narrative through innovative diagnostics, imaging, and clinical trials.

Celebrating 20 Years of QCGC Research!

In 2023, we proudly marked two decades of progress in developing kinder, gentler, and more effective treatments for women diagnosed with gynaecological cancer.

Our achievements have been possible thanks to the unwavering support of our QCGC Research community—patients, staff (past and present), donors, collaborators, and partnering organizations and professionals who have been with us on this journey.

To everyone involved, thank you for making these milestones possible. We look forward to the advancements the next 20 years will bring!
