Dr Helen Green
Dr Helen Green is a Gynaecological Oncologist specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of women with cancerous or precancerous gynaecological conditions. Her other interest is the use of minimally invasive surgery to treat a range of benign gynaecological conditions while providing excellence in care, with compassion and advocacy for women’s medical, psychological, social, cultural and sexual needs.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Green has a keen interest in the scientific advancement of gynaecological surgery and the treatments available to women.
A graduate of the University of Queensland, Dr Green completed her specialist training in Gynaecology at the Gold Coast University Hospital. She subsequently gained a Certificate of Gynaecological Oncology after training at GCUH, at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse (Sydney) and at King Edward Memorial Hospital (Perth). Dr Green continued working as a specialist in Perth before returning home to the Gold Coast in 2017.
She is a board member of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgical (AGES) Society and the Chair of the Gold Coast University Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC). She is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology (ANZGOG) research group and the Australian Society of Gynaecological Oncologists (ASGO).
